I have not had a professional hair cut in over 20 years because I got tired of paying for bad haircuts that I could do myself and believe me, I have given myself some bad haircuts over the years.  My hair is naturally and curly and is now salt and pepper blend. I was really tired of my 60+, Bea Arthur – Golden Girl look and decided to take a leap of faith and I am so glad I did! G Michael Salon is the best salon experience I have ever had!  I have been flat ironing my curly hair in an attempt to control the frizz, etc. Amanda gave me an excellent haircut and beautiful style that is easy to maintain and I have retired the flat iron and have embraced the curl! I also wanted a few hi-lites to even out some of the grey areas. My hair can be a challenge to work with; it’s really curly on the crown and stick straight underneath. Mackenzie didn’t flinch! She gave me an awesome cut that turned my droopy, dead curls into flirty waves. The color is beautiful as well, but the cut is the part that I most appreciate since my hair is basically impossible to deal with. Mackenzie also has a great personality. My stylist started off my cut with a relaxing and much needed head massage, which felt amazing. I love any service that starts with relaxation, and this one most definitely did. Then, being very methodical she went through and cut my hair exactly how I like it, nice and short! My hair can be tough to do with just scissors because of how short it is, but those who are good have no problem with it, and my stylist was great! After my hair service she waxed my eyebrows, and did an amazing job and kept it pain free, a definite bonus! I moved to Indianapolis, Indiana a little over 2 years ago and had been going salon to salon trying to find a stylist that I liked. While I got some just ok haircuts, none seemed to be artists at their craft. It was like they were relying on me to be able to tell them what they should do. With Greg, it’s a completely different experience. He is the expert. He will listen to you and learn about you and then recommend what he thinks will be best; color, cut, everything. The best part is he has the skill to back it up! I’ve had 3 cuts and one color at G Michael Salon and my search is definitely over. The new salon is so dramatic and beautiful. Joe and Greg take great pride in their business and it shows. For the client, it means you get a great high-end experience. Being able to book an appointment online is so handy. I have had my share of haircuts and styles over the years good and bad, but Greg Lee from G Michael Salon blew me away with his expertise! I have been trying salons all over Indianapolis for the last fours years only to have my hair butchered by several very reputable salons. Greg not only provided a wonderful shoulder and hand massage, but he took the entire hour to talk me through every thought and process he was doing to my hair. I have fairly curly hair, and he washed my hair, blew it out, and straightened it all prior to cutting it- he explained to me by doing this, it allows for an even cut verses cutting it wet and curly and hoping it would be even! Genius and yet it all makes sense- why is he the only one to do this in all of the years of getting my hair cut? I don’t know, but I am sold- It is literally the best cut of my life and it helps Greg and Joe are so likable! “ARE YOU READY TO HAVE YOUR HAIR TRANSFORMED?”

I am as you would say a salon junkie! I am always on the search for the best! I needed help and in a bad way! I am a blonde, who had been over-processed and had a lot of breakage, unsure where to turn I called this salon. I was treated special, like I mattered. Greg took the time to explain the process we would go through, recommended a series of intense hydration treatments to do at home for 6 weeks. Treated my hair in a delicate manner, and even asked if it did not turn out the way I wanted (since this was my first appointment) would I have time to stay so he could get it right? Wow! “BEST HAIR COLOR/HIGHLIGHTS”

I had my hair cut/colored/highlighted about three weeks ago. I am STILL getting multiple compliments every day for how good it looks! I’ve gotten told by a number of people that I look 10 years younger (important when you get to be an old broad!) The color/highlights in the sunshine is spectacular. The only place that I have ever had my hair done that has come close to this good was, I treated myself one time I was in Paris-but it still was not as flattering as Greg’s cut and color is. I have also had my hair done in Washington DC, Boston and Chicago and just not as good as Greg. I had a couple of problems with my hair also (thinning in the back, I had also colored it myself-badly) and Greg corrected/compensated for both of these things. “GREG SAVED MY HAIR JUST IN TIME FOR MY WEDDING!!!”

I have to say that I was very nervous about going to yet another hair stylist in Indianapolis after already trying out 5 others that failed miserably!! I moved back to the Midwest after living in San Francisco for 13 years. I had the same colorist for 9 of those years. I like it simple….my brown hair with beige blonde highlights. Sounds easy enough, right?! Wrong!! I went to some of the top salons in Indy, I won’t name them because I am not that mean. After 5 failed attempts and my hair turning orange/copper and poorly applied foils leaving my hair with leopard type stripes I had had it!! I spent seriously thousands of dollars on my hair and it was getting worse and worse. The last person/woman I went to not only charged an arm and a leg but made me feel awful because I didn’t like what she did, like I was insulting her work. I was like lady if you charge this much you should be making my hair perfect!! On top of all of this my wedding is fast approaching(May 14th) Finally I found Greg and thank goodness I did!! Just in time for my wedding. He is amazing!! He not only was right on schedule(didn’t make me wait 30-40minutes like the last person I went to) but took his time with me and listened to me and knew exactly what the issues were with my hair!!!
